If you wish to return an item, please click on "Support" / "Request a Product Return" to complete our RMA Request Form.
We reserve the right to allow or disallow your return, based on the circumstances. If a return is authorized, you will be asked to return the unused item in its original packaging and condition (where possible), along with a copy of your original invoice, and an assigned RMA number listed on both the inside and outside of your package.
Once we have received your return, we may perform tests to be sure it is in good working order. In some cases we may examine its exterior to ensure it is unblemished. If the item is determined to be in good working condition and unblemished, we will issue a full product refund (generally, within 14 days after receipt of your return).
To ensure you receive a full refund (product cost + taxes, where applicable) please open and handle your product carefully. We package our products with care to prevent damage of your purchase during transit. If the original outer box is too damaged to use for your return, please be sure to place the item inside a new outer box prior to shipping your return. Depending on the condition of the packaging and item, we reserve the right to charge up to a 20% restocking fee.

How long do I have to return my purchase?
You must return your item within 30 days of receipt, or within the warranty time frame if you are submitting a warranty claim.
Where may I return my purchase?
All online purchases must be returned to the business and address from which they were ordered and sent. If purchased from our offices, ship to:

Be sure to include the RMA Numbers on the outside of the box, and with each item returned inside the box.
Do I need to include my receipt?
Yes. Please include a copy of your purchase receipt. Also include the assigned RMA number (or numbers, if multiple items); written on the outside of the box and inside with each item returned.
Must I use the original packaging for my return?
If at all possible, yes. This is ideal as it was carefully packaged and shipped to protect your purchase. If this is not possible, please place your boxed item inside a second undamaged box to prevent damage during transit back to our offices.
Must I return using the same carrier as used for the original shipment of the item?
You may return your item via the carrier you choose.
Do you refund shipping costs?
We gladly refund shipping costs only if we have shipped an incorrect item to you.
How long will it be before I receive a refund for the return?
Once we have received your return, we may perform tests to be sure it is in good working order and its exterior unblemished. Once the item is determined to be in good working condition and unblemished, we will issue a refund (generally, within 14 days after receipt of your return). Your refund may be issued in the original form of tender or as a credit, depending on the circumstances.
Do I need to call you prior to returning my product?
For parts, no. Simply fill out the RMA form on our website to begin the return process. For whole units please call our tech support to discuss. If deemed returnable, an RMA will be submitted by an employee of General Filters.
Do you have a restocking fee?
Depending on the circumstances of your return and the condition of the packaging and item, we reserve the right to charge up to a 20% restocking fee.
